Where we sail........

From our very nice capital city Amsterdam or the close village Monnickendam, the Averechts sails the IJsselmeer and Waddenzee. Together we decide the route.

We can visit harbor towns like Amsterdam, Volendam, fort island Pampus, castle in Muiden, Hoorn, Enkhuizen, Harlingen, Batavia wharff Lelystad, etc. Do sighseeings, excursions or other activities.

Or would you prefer to sail on a sandbank to let it fall dry and watch seals, or go to one of our islands?

Freedom

Raising the sails, navigate, steer, or.... lounge around?
This is the way to get to know each other in a total different setting! the quietness of the sailing is something everybody loves. Unforgettable!

All our trips are tailor-made: you decide yourself your programm, time-table and activities, or choose from the existing arrangements.
You can cook for yourself if you want, or choose to use our excellent catering service.

This way, you have optimal freedom.

Many possibilities

There are so many possibilities:
- help our lounge around
- enjoy the silence of the sailing, or take advantage to make a lot of noice
- a day on the IJsselmeer or a week to the Waddensea (or anything else)
- anchor somewhere and have a nice swim, or waterski or wakeboard
- cook for yourself or let us do it for you
- time to have meeting, presentation, games, dinners, party's etc.
- etc.

Catering

Would you like to go sailing entirely untroubled? We can take care of an excellent catering for you (not obliged)!  Coffee with pie on arrival,  a lunch buffet with soup, luxurious bread, salads, fresh fruit etc,  delicious snacks, appetizer, superb barbeque…. you name it! Please consult our catering list for the possibilities. Do you have special wishes? No problem at all, if we can do it we will!

Party

The best parties take place in the middle of the water!
We find us a place on the water so disturb nobody.
The bar opens, and the festival can burst out!
You can bring you own music (music installation is present), or choose from several possibilities of live music or theatre theater-entertainment.

You can sleep aboard so no worry about alcohol and travic. The following morning, after a nice breakfast, you can choose to go home or sail some more!

Live Entertainment

There are various possibilities of life entertainment!

A band with Dutch Folklore songs, a troubadour, popsingers, theater interactive entertainment, a jazz-accordeonist, you name it!

If you have any special ideas, we are happy to help you organize!
You can make your sailing trip real special!

Own mucis
You can use our cd player (with i-pot plug) and karaoke player.

Teambuilding en activities

Together we raise the sails and put them down again!
We set our course to our destiny and try to keep this course!

Extra activities for teambuilding are possible, such as workshop making seemans knots, quizes, workshop cooking (and eating!).

With us you can waterski and wakeboard!

We also can provide professional training workshops for companies, such as "working together more effectively" of "bargaining".

If you like, you can steer the ship yourself and take over!
We would be happy to help.
We can turn the trip into a sailing-course. After doing a bit of theory, you can practice. For example plan your trip to one of the islands, and try to really arrive!

The captain: Tom Schaefers

Tom is sailing ever since  his youth. First with scouting, later in all holidays. As a sailor he drove to East-Germany, Belgium and France. In 2002/2003 he sailed during one year to the Canary Islands, Cape Verde Islands and Azores with his family. In 2006 Tom worked as a captain on traditional sailing ships on the IJsselmeer. Since Mai 2007, he is the proud owner and captain of his own traditional sailing ship the Averechts.

Group accomodation in Amsterdam

In wintertime (Nov 1 - April 1) we offer group accomodation in Amsterdam for very reasonable price and conditions, including a short trip if the circumstances allow it. The whole ship exclusively for yourself, this will make your stay in Amsterdam unique!

Location in de winter: Amsterdam

In de winter we sail from the Oude Houthaven in Amsterdam: van Diemenkade.
This is the ideal location for your groupaccomodation, or to start sailingtour to for exemple Zaanse Schans, Pampus and Volendam.

Agenda: Availability of the Averechts

We hope that you choose the Averechts for your sailing trip and that we can welcome you aboard!

Summer sailing prices 2010: (Daytours maximum 50 persons, overnight-tours maximum 30 persons)

€ 1.575,- : Daytour on a monday - thursday (8 hours flexible)
€ 1.775,- : Daytour on a friday, saturday or sunday (8 hours flexible)
€ 3.175,- : Weekendtrip (friday 20.00 hours - sunday 17.00 hours)
€ 4.295,- : Workingdays (sunday 20.00 hours - friday 17.00 hours)
€ 3.995,- : Schoolweek (sunday 20.00 hours - friday 09.00 hours)
€ 5.875,- : Full week (sunday 20.00 hours - sunday 17.00 hours, or on request)

This price includes: crew (skipper and sailor), harbormoney, tourist tax, vat, 1 motorhour a day. Excluding: catering (we gladly offer), cover and towel (you can bring yourself, or rent for 14,50 p.p.). The general conditions of the BBZ are applicable. Down payment: 20%, on the day of departure the total amount must have been paid.

Seasonal discount: October 1 - April 1: 10%

Extra overnight stay*
- on daytours with catering provided by us: € 100,- for the whole group.
- on selfsupporting daytours: € 25 per person, with a minimum of € 300,-

*enbarkment on 20.00 hours the day before your daytour, or disembarkment on 09.00 hours the day after your daytour.

Beds
The beds are standard provided with matrass fittet sheet, pilow and pilowcase. You can bring your own sleeping bag and towel, or rent from us a cover and towel for € 14,50 per person.
All beds are 2 x 0,8 m.

Cleaning costs/ service costs
€ 180,- /overnight trips
€ 140,- / daytours

In case you choose to cook for yourself, you are expected to hand over the ship to the skipper garbageless and broom-swept, and the kitchen totally clean!,
You can also do the cleaning yourself, to reduce costs.

We do everything to make your sailingtrip a huge succes!
